Admission Conditions and Notification Duty
- Cats must be over four months old.
- Male cats over six months old must be neutered.
- The “Chatterie du Point du Jour” reserves the right to refuse the admission of a cat that is not correctly vaccinated, or if its health and behavior are incompatible with a stay in the boarding facility.
- The owner or their representative is required to notify if a cat is under treatment due to a previous illness or accident before the stay. If applicable, they must provide enough medication for the duration of the stay.
- Special food must be provided by the owner in sufficient quantity for the duration of the stay. No reduction in boarding fees will be granted.
Vaccinations and Prophylaxis
- The vaccination record, duly filled out, must be provided at admission.
- Cats must be regularly vaccinated against feline typhus, panleukopenia, cat flu, and feline leukemia within one year prior to admission. The last booster shot must have been administered at least ten days before admission to the “Chatterie”.
- The rabies vaccine is required for cats coming from abroad.
- Cats must be effectively protected against fleas, ticks, and worms. Treatments must have been renewed less than ten days before admission to the “Chatterie du Point du Jour”.
Responsibility
- The owner acknowledges the increased risk associated with boarding a cat that is elderly, sick, injured, or undergoing medical treatment. They accept these risks and entrust their cat knowingly.
- In the case of illness or injury during the stay, the cat will receive care from a veterinarian accredited by the “Chatterie du Point du Jour”. The veterinarian is authorized to make all necessary decisions. All veterinary fees will be at the owner’s expense, and travel expenses to the veterinarian may be billed.
- The owner fully discharges the “Chatterie du Point du Jour” from any responsibility for illness, accidents, or death of the cat(s) before, during, or after the stay.
- The “Chatterie du Point du Jour” reserves the right to isolate a cat in a private kennel if its health and/or behavior are incompatible with a group stay. The individual kennel rate will apply for the duration of the isolation.
Publication on Digital Platforms
- The “Chatterie” regularly publishes photos of its boarders for promotional purposes.
- The owner authorizes the publication of photos of their cat(s) on the “Chatterie du Point du Jour” website, Facebook, and Instagram pages, along with the cat’s name and a short comment. The owner’s identity will never be published.
- The “Chatterie du Point du Jour” is under no obligation to guarantee any photo publications of the owner’s cat(s) during the stay. Photos will only be visible on Facebook and no photos will be sent privately.
Boarding Fees and Payment of the Bill
- The boarding fee is charged per night, including VAT. It covers accommodation according to the chosen service and basic care. Additional services will be billed separately according to a price list or hourly rate. No discounts or reductions are granted.
- The owner is required to pay for all nights of boarding reserved contractually, even in the case of early departure.
- The bill must be paid in cash, by debit/credit card, or via TWINT on the day of departure. A deposit may be required upon arrival for long-term stays.
Special Provisions
- Without news from the owner or their representative by the scheduled end of the stay, the cat(s) will be handed over to the cantonal pound, which will dispose of them according to the regulations of the Canton of Vaud. The boarding fee remains due.
- The owner acknowledges the reception hours and days at the “Chatterie”. Outside of these periods, picking up or returning the cat(s) will incur an additional fee of CHF 100.-. However, the “Chatterie” is not obliged to respond to all requests.
- In case of a disagreement regarding the execution of this contract, the parties will first seek to discuss it. In the event of a continued dispute, they agree to recognize exclusively Swiss courts.
- By signing, the owner or their representative agrees to accept all the conditions of this contract without reservation.
Cancellation Conditions
- Free cancellation if made at least 14 days before the arrival date.
- If cancelled between 14 and 8 days before arrival, 50% of the stay will be charged.
- If cancelled between 7 days and the arrival day, 100% of the stay will be charged.
Exceptions may be granted in case of a legitimate reason (medical certificate, death in the family, or other duly justified reason).
